Rene was inducted into the 2000 MASTERS HALL OF FAME for Martial Arts. Rene has worked as a Bodyguard in Newport Beach, Ca., also worked Security at National Events for Native American Indians at The Orange County Fairgrounds.
Rene is a former instructor at UCI, World Champion Jeff Smith Karate, Black Dragon Tae Kwon Do, and Western Young Nak Church, in Garden Grove, Ca.

Rene was part of the "GARAGE BAND ERA" and "BATTLE OF THE BANDS" when it was nearing the end - back in the day. Rene headed up his own Rock N Roll musical group - 'THE X-MEN'
( Singer and sometimes Drummer ) and was also one of the lead vocals for the Soul Music group "THEE EXPRESSIONS" [ See above photo ! That's Rene behind the microphone on the far right ! ] Besides performing at dances, and special events - the Expressions performed at THE HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM and got 5TH PLACE out of 150 BANDS which was televised LIVE on TV STATION CH. 9 for the HOLLYWOOD TEEN FAIR - Rene was 16 years old.

Rene is a former member of the prestigious Bodysurfing Team - The Newport Beach Bodysurfing Association. Rene, ( who has always considered the beaches along the coast of Newport his 'second home' ) is currently a proud member of 'The Sons Of The American Legion'
